Apple has unveiled a range of new ultra-thin iMacs in an eye-popping colours in its first big product launch of 2021.
It also unveiled the long anticipated AirTag, which can be attached to prized items like your bag or keys and track them using the iPhone and Apple’s ‘Find My’ network.
The tech giant launched its slimmest computer yet which its says boasts improved camera and audio and ‘touch ID’ fingerprint technology for the first time, at Tuesday’s ‘Spring Loaded’ online event.
Apple was due to launch the hotly-anticipated AirPods 3 last year, but the latest wireless earbuds reveal was delayed due to the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
At its last product launch in October 2020, the company released the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro.
Apple also launched its Apple One services bundle on October 30 last year, and had also released a new iPad a month earlier.
The company’s CEO Tim Cook launched the new devices and products in the live event on Tuesday.
The launch included a new hue to add to its range.
Cook announced a new purple iPhone, which along with the AirTags will be available for pre-order this Friday and for purchase April 30.
He also announced a new Podcast app focused on subscriptions, and new Apple TV.
More devices are expected to be launched in the ongoing Apple event unfolding live now, with experts tipping a new iPad model.
UK prices on the new products and services are yet to be announced.
