Google Launches Pixel Buds A-Series For Just $99

If you’re looking for a pair of true wireless earbuds that won’t break the bank, Google might have you covered. Similar to the company’s Pixel A-series handsets, Google has since announced the Pixel Buds A-series, which follow a similar theme that will offer the Pixel Buds at a much more affordable price tag of $99.

In terms of sound, the Pixel Buds A-series will feature the same sound quality as last year’s Pixel Buds, except for cheaper, which is most definitely a good thing. However, it does sport a new design which according to Google, comes with a “gentle seal” and a spatial vent that is meant to help normalize ear pressure so you can wear them for extended periods of time.

There are also built-in beamforming microphones that will help improve audio quality when you’re making calls and also to help Google Assistant hear your commands better. Unfortunately given its price, it shouldn’t be a surprise that it does not come with noise-cancelling technology. However, Google says that they’ve introduced an Adaptive Sound feature that is meant to automatically adjust volume levels based on ambient noise.

The battery life of the Pixel Buds A-series seems pretty standard and Google says they’ll last about 5 hours on a single charge, and its carrying case will add another 24 hours. The Pixel Buds A-series have also been designed with an IPX4 rating so it should be capable of withstanding a bit of moisture like sweat. If you’re keen on picking them up, they are currently available for pre-order and will be available June 17.
